This is who we are!
Awka Union USA and Canada is a socio-cultural, charitable, and non-profit organization incorporated under Section 501(c)(3) 0f the Internal Revenue Code of the United States of America.
Membership is open to all AWKA indigenes resident in the USA and Canada, and who elect to belong by registration through a Chapter. There are (9) nine participating Chapters that make up it’s membership: Atlanta, Boston, Canada, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Los Angeles, Maryland, and New York/New Jersey.
Our Vision
Our vision is to create a formidable and sustainable organization where members can rely on for cultural values, social interaction, and support.
Our Mission
Our Mission includes, but not limited to the following:
- To promote Awka cultural values through education and social activities
- To promote peace, love and camaraderie amongst the members and the public at large
- To promote the health and well-being of Awka indigenes and other residents in Awka through our free medical mission outreach
- To promote opportunities and empowerment to our youths both here in the USA and Canada, and in Nigeria through support, mentorship and training
- To provide social and financial support to our members in time of need
- To extend charitable activities and assistance to the society at large.
